Kids Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in memory
This event is a timed 5K walk and run held at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, organized by the Kids Cancer Foundation. The course starts and finishes on the road by the park fountains and follows looped sections through the park, including areas behind the dog park and along the park's back side. Participants are asked to stay on the prescribed route; bridges are off course. Course signage and volunteers will direct participants.
The halfway point includes a water stop located in the road. Parking is planned on the grassy area next to the dog park. Awards are planned for overall winners, age group winners, and the Largest Team. A Fall Festival will run during and after the event, offering family activities and games.
Pre-race packet pickup is available the week before the race at the Kids Cancer Center, 246 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, with additional packet pickup and same-day registration at the park on race day. The event supports local children and families facing childhood cancer; materials describe support for over 450 families in the community. Registration is offered for both running and walking entries with a listed entry fee of 35 USD.
