Kids Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in memory of a child
The event is a charity 5K walk and run held at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach, FL (11600 Poinciana Blvd) on October 17, 2026. It is organized by the Kids Cancer Foundation to raise funds for families in the local childhood cancer community.
The course starts and finishes on the road by the park water fountains. Participants follow a marked route around the park: the first section stays on the outside of the path, then the route travels behind the dog park, with a water stop near the halfway point, and finishes along the sidewalk by the golf range parking lot. Signs and volunteers will direct participants, and the course does not include any bridges.
Same-day registration and packet pickup are available. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the week before the event at the Kids Cancer Center, 246 Royal Palm Beach Blvd. Parking is planned on the grassy area next to the dog park.
Awards are planned for overall winners, age group winners and the Largest Team. A Fall Festival will run during and after the event, with family activities and games. Proceeds are intended to support more than 450 children and families facing childhood cancer in the community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
