Kids Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in memory of a child
The event is a 5K walk and run organized by the Kids Cancer Foundation on October 17, 2026 at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. The event raises funds to support families affected by childhood cancer in the local community.
The course starts and finishes on the road by the water fountains. Runners and walkers are directed to stay on the outside of the path for the first portion, then follow a route behind the dog park after about 1.25 miles. The halfway point includes a water stop in the road. The final section runs around the back side of the park and finishes along the sidewalk by the parking lot for the golf range. Participants should avoid crossing any bridges to remain on course. Parking is planned on the grassy area next to the dog park.
Registration categories include both running and walking for the 5K distance with an entry fee of $35 for each category. Same day registration and packet pickup are available. Pre race packet pickup is scheduled the week before the event at the Kids Cancer Center located at 246 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, with pickups running Monday October 12 through Thursday October 15 and Friday October 16.
Awards are presented to overall winners, age group winners and the Largest Team. A fall festival with family activities and games takes place during and after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
