Kids Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in memory of a child
The Kids Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in memory of a child is a timed 5K walk and run held at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach, Florida on October 17, 2026. The event is organized by the Kids Cancer Foundation and raises funds to support families in the community affected by childhood cancer; the event page notes support for over 450 children and families.
The course starts and finishes on the road by the park water fountains. The route directs participants to stay on the outside of the initial path, continues behind the dog park, and passes a halfway water stop on the road. The final section runs around the back side of the park and finishes along the sidewalk by the golf range parking lot. Participants are asked not to cross any bridges, as that would put them off course. Parking is planned on the grassy area next to the dog park.
Same-day registration and packet pickup are available on race day; pre-race packet pickup is offered at the Kids Cancer Center, 246 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, on October 12–15 and October 16 with set hours. Awards are planned for overall and age-group winners as well as for the largest team. A fall festival with family activities and games will run during and after the event.
