Kickin' Up The Dust 5K
The Kickin' Up The Dust 5K takes place on July 25, 2026 at Fox Ranch in Plano, Illinois (12474 US Highway 34, Plano, IL 60545). It is a western themed 5K run held on ranch property and the surrounding countryside.
The course winds through open ranch land and nearby fields, providing an experience across rural terrain. The event features western themed attire; boots are optional and costumes are encouraged as part of the event atmosphere.
Registration opens June 25, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026. The registration fee is $40. Post race activities include drinks, music, photos, and ranch style mingling.
Event awards include a Best Dressed costume contest with a bottle of wine for the winner. Additional finish place recognitions noted in the event information include an extra drink ticket for first place, a cowbell for tenth place, and a novelty last place award consisting of a roll of toilet paper or the cardboard tube.
