Kickin’ Up The Dust 5K : Plano, IL
Kickin’ Up The Dust 5K is a western themed running event held at Fox Ranch in Plano, Illinois. The course winds through the open ranch property and surrounding countryside, offering wide open spaces and a ranch atmosphere.
The event is a timed race with RD timing. Finishers receive a Woodie medal. Participants can expect swag items that include a $5 coupon valid at two partner restaurants, assorted treats, and additional surprises. Shirts and extra swag items will be available for sale on site to raise money for charity.

The event features a Best Dressed costume contest with a bottle of wine for the winner. Race placings also have lighthearted awards: first place receives a drink ticket, 10th place receives a cowbell, and the last finisher receives the "Dead-Last Cowboy Award" of a roll of toilet paper or its cardboard tube.
