Key West Half Marathon & Runfest
The event is the 29th Annual Key West Half Marathon and Runfest held January 16 and 17, 2027 in Key West, Florida. The festival includes in-person races, social events and virtual options. The main in-person races include a half marathon plus shorter distances and specialty races on and around Key West.
Participants receive a race shirt, finisher medal, race bag, refreshments, rum tasting, a race party and entertainment. Several multi-race challenges are offered and include multiple medals and event-specific items. One social event, the Hemingway Rum Stroll presented by Papa’s Pilar Rum, visits six locations and includes a Papa’s Pilar Rum drink at each location; participants must be over 21. The Key West Beach N' Beer Mile is a fun, untimed beer mile with multiple loops, a custom shirt and raffles.
Virtual options mirror many in-person distances and allow participants to complete routes remotely. One virtual half marathon specifies that results may be submitted between January 16 and January 20. A noncompetitive virtual Tour of Key West route is available as a casual, self-guided option.
