Keweenaw Color Run
The Keweenaw Color Run is an untimed five-kilometer walk/run held on October 3, 2026, at Huron Street Waterfront Park in Houghton, Michigan. Participants pass through multiple color stations where colored powder is applied along the route, and each participant receives a color packet to start the event.
The event is presented by Visit Keweenaw and organized by Circle UP, formerly known as Keweenaw Young Professionals. It serves as the kickoff to the Downtown Houghton Fall Fest and is part of the Canal Colors Fest. The Fall Fest at the Waterfront Pier features vendors, music, and seasonal decorations.
T-shirt options are offered as an add-on and will be produced to commemorate the event; orders close in advance to allow for printing. Registration and t-shirt pickup are scheduled the evening before the run at Keweenaw Brewing Company as part of Brew Street 2026 to reduce morning congestion.
Ticket options include free and paid tiers. Volunteer opportunities and sponsorship information are available for those who wish to contribute time or resources. For on-site logistics, the parking lot between the Lakeshore Center and UP Kids will be closed for Fall Fest, and parking is available throughout downtown Houghton with locations shown on local informational kiosks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
