General Information

The Kettle Krush 5K is a community event organized to support The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. The proceeds from the event are directed towards addressing poverty, homelessness, human trafficking, and supporting veterans and youth enrichment programs in the metro Atlanta area. This marks the event's 12th year.

Distances

The event features three race categories:

  • 5K run/walk for all ages.
  • 1K run/walk for participants aged 6 and over.
  • Tot Trot for children aged 5 and under.

There is also a "Phantom/Donations" category for non-participants who wish to support the cause and receive an event T-shirt.

Location

The event will be held at Mt Bethel Church, located at 4385 Roswell Road in Marietta, Georgia.

Registration

Participants can register online. In-person registration is also available at Big Peach Running Co. on 1062 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta until the day before the event. Mail-in registrations must be received by a specified deadline in early May. Registration will also be available on the event day starting at 7:00 a.m., accepting cash, check, or credit card.

Race bibs and T-shirts can be picked up on the two days before the event at Big Peach Running Co. or on race day starting at 7 a.m.

Schedule

The 5K and 1K races start at 8:00 AM. The Tot Trot for young children starts at 8:45 AM.

Awards

Awards are given to the first overall and masters male and female winners in the 5K. The top three male and female finishers in sixteen age categories (from 10 & under to 80 & over) receive Kettle medals. Medals are also provided to all 5K and 1K participants on race day, while Tot Trot participants receive ribbons.

Team Competition

Team prizes are awarded in five categories: individual, school, business, church, and running club. A team must have a minimum of 10 participants to compete for the top prize based on the largest number of participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
