The Kentucky Derby Festival Race Weekend takes place Friday, April 24 - Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Louisville, KY (40203). The Humana Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon & Marathon is an annual spring road-racing event. The 2026 event marks the 53rd running of the miniMarathon and the 25th running of the Marathon. Participants begin at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville, run through multiple neighborhoods and the infield of Churchill Downs, and finish at a post-race gathering where runners are met by family and friends. A 5K presented by First Urology is held on the Friday of race weekend. A virtual option is offered for the miniMarathon and Marathon.

- 13.1 miles - miniMarathon; open to ages 12+
- 26.2 miles - Marathon; open to ages 14+
- 26.2 miles - Relay teams of 3-5
- 3.1 miles - 5K; open to ages 10+
- Virtual miniMarathon and virtual Marathon available
- Race Challenge options combine the 5K with the miniMarathon or the Marathon for an additional medal
