Knobstone 50
The Knobstone 50 is a point to point 50 mile trail race along the Knobstone Trail in Indiana. The course travels north from Deam Lake State Recreation Area to Delaney Creek Park and accumulates roughly 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The route passes steep climbs, forested terrain, and open viewpoints across backcountry trail sections.
The event uses shuttle transportation from the finish area to the start. The race layout includes multiple aid station cut-offs and an overall time limit. Specific cut-off locations and progressive aid station policies are published by the organizer.
All participants receive a performance hat made with 100 percent recycled materials, featuring breathable mesh, a pliable brim, and an internal sweatband. Each finisher may have their name etched onto the event Finisher Slab, a ceremonial piece of live edge wood unique to each year.
Entrants may register their declared gender as Male, Female, or Non-Binary; the organizer accepts declared gender at face value and provides an option to record desired pronouns. Podium awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers; at this time there is no additional podium awarding in the non-binary category.
The event is organized by Trailblazer Running. Participants who become pregnant after registering or who are new parents may be eligible to defer their entry for up to two years; the organizer may require proof and asks to be contacted in advance to process deferments.
