About the Event
The Love Like Deana 5K is a run and walk event held at Ashland Park on East Riverside Drive in Clarksville, Indiana. The event takes place on a Saturday in April. It is created to honor the victims of a shooting at Old National Bank in April 2023 and to celebrate the life of Deana Eckert, with a focus on community, positivity, and love. All profits from the event are donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
Event Features
The race is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. Completing six races in the series earns participants a special finisher medal. A discounted family registration for four people is available. A virtual participation option also exists, where participants can complete the distance on their own and submit results within a specified timeframe.
A course map is provided. Pre-race packet pickup is available on the Friday before the event at Pacers and Racers on East 10th Street.
What's Included
Registration includes a custom race shirt, a finisher medal, and access to pre- and post-race massages provided by KORT Physical Therapy. Door prize drawings are held, and awards are given in several categories, including overall, masters, grandmasters, and multiple age groups.
