Kenner's Ole Man River Run and Walk
Kenner's Ole Man River event takes place in Kenner, Louisiana, with activities centered at Heritage Park in the historic Rivertown area. Now in its 44th year, this event is presented by the City of Kenner and features several distances for both runners and walkers along the Mississippi River. The available distances include:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1-Mile Kids Run
The course is flat and fast, providing scenic views of the river and passing through the historic surroundings of Rivertown. The 10K race serves as an official Crescent City Classic qualifying event, which allows participants to compete for seeded positions in the following spring race. In addition to individual registrations, there are options for family group registration and team competitions, such as the Largest Team Competition and the Alumni School Challenge.
Participants in the various events receive a race shirt and a custom finisher medal. The post-race activities include a block party with live music and food. The event also facilitates race walk categories for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances.
