NOAC Turkey Day Race
Founded in 1907, the event in 2026 is presented as the 119th New Orleans Athletic Club Turkey Day Race and is described as one of the oldest continuous races in the United States. The race area is centered at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans City Park.
The event program includes the following runs and walks:
- 5-Mile run/walk
- 5-Mile run/walk - NOTC Family
- Kids Half Mile run/walk for ages 12 and under
Proceeds from the event are donated to Spina Bifida of Louisiana. The race is produced by the New Orleans Track Club with support from its members and volunteers. The organizer notes that the race has become a holiday tradition for families from across the nation, with several generations returning annually to participate.
