Kelly’s Kidz 5K
The Kelly’s Kidz 5K and Family Fun Walk is an annual event held in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The race takes place on the Wildwood Boardwalk, starting and ending at the Seaport Pier. Participants can choose between two main events:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Family Fun Walk
The 5K is a chip-timed race described as a flat and fast course. Award medals are presented to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers in the overall category, as well as across various age groups. These groups range from 9 and under to 70 and older. The Family Fun Walk is an untimed event designed for groups, with registration available for families of up to six people.
This event coincides with the Christmas in July weekend. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed clothing, and Santa is scheduled to be present at the venue. Proceeds from the event benefit Kelly's Kidz, a non-profit organization that provides toys, pajamas, and distraction items to patients at local children's hospitals.
Packet pickup is available at the Seaport Pier on the evening before the race and on the morning of the event. To receive a commemorative T-shirt, participants must register by July 15th. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
