Sun and Sand 5K - North Wildwood, NJ
The Sun and Sand event on July 18, 2026 takes place at 22nd Ave and the Boardwalk in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The event benefits the North Wildwood Police Officers Association and their charities. New for 2025, the course runs along the beach to limit road closures and promote participant safety; the route includes less than one block of running in the sand and starts at 22nd Ave and the Boardwalk.
Events and fees are listed for the day and include entry fees of $30 for the main 5K and $25 for the 1 mile walk and the law enforcement/first responder 5K. Registrations received by July 3 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Awards will be presented to first overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group for male and female competitors. Age groups are 1-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. A team competition scores the top three finishers on each team; team categories are Civilian, Police, Fire, and Beach Patrol, with a minimum of five members required per team.
