Sun and Sand 5K
The Sun and Sand events take place on July 18, 2026 at 22nd Ave and the Boardwalk in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The race weekend benefits the North Wildwood Police Officers Association and their charities.

New for 2025, the course runs along the beach to reduce road closures and promote safety. The route includes less than one block of running in the sand and starts at 22nd Ave and the Boardwalk.
Awards include first overall male and female plus age group awards given three deep for both male and female in these age categories: 1-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. There is a team competition with top three teams in Civilian, Police, Fire, and Beach Patrol. Teams must have a minimum of five members and the top three finishers on each team score.
Registration opens January 5, 2026 and closes July 17, 2026. Registration fees listed are $30.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the 1 Mile walk, and $25.00 for the 5K first responder category. Registrations received by July 3 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
