Event Overview
The 43rd Annual Kelly's 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place on a Sunday in March. The event starts and finishes at Kelly's Restaurant on Broadway Street in Quincy, Illinois. It is a timed 5K run/walk.
Event Details
The event includes a separate category for dogs. Dogs can be registered for free and are eligible for awards, provided they are on a leash. Awards are given for the top two male and female finishers overall, and to the top two finishers in several age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. There are also prizes for best costume and for the first and second place dogs.
Registration & Logistics
Registration for the 5K involves a fee, while registering a dog is free. Packet pickup for shirts and race bibs is available on the Friday before the event at the Quincy Family YMCA, and on the event day at Kelly's. The event is held in honor of the late Tom Daly, a Quincy businessman known for his love of St. Patrick's Day. Participants are encouraged to celebrate the holiday after the race.
