Bridge the Gap to Health : Quincy, IL
The Quincy Medical Group Foundation’s Bridge the Gap to Health Race returns on May 9, 2026 at Clat Adams Bicentennial Park, All American Park in Quincy, Illinois. The event is a community fundraising race that supports foundation grants for local nonprofit work in community development, health, and youth programs and includes a designated project to renovate a visitation space at 435 Hampshire St. for Connect Child and Family Solutions. The redesigned visitation space will provide a family centered environment with areas for meals, play, and memory making for children in foster care and their biological families.

The race route crosses the Bayview Bridge into Missouri and returns across the Memorial Bridge into Illinois, runs through Maine Street, and circles Washington Park in Downtown Quincy. All 10K and half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal with registration by March 20, 2026 required to guarantee a medal. 5K participants may purchase a medal with registration by March 20, 2026. Awards are planned for top overall finishers and age group winners in the 5K and for overall and masters finishers in the 10K and half marathon.
Fundraising progress is displayed on the organizer page; at the time of posting the event has raised $861.16 toward a $10,000 goal. Volunteers are used for packet pickup and race day duties and receive instructions, maps, and a volunteer t shirt. Packet pickup is available at the Quincy Medical Building and at Clat Adams Park.
