Bridge the Gap to Health
Bridge the Gap to Health is organized by the Quincy Medical Group Foundation and will take place in Quincy, Illinois on May 9, 2026. The event marks the 26th year of this community race and includes both in-person and virtual participation options.
Proceeds for 2026 will support a renovation of the visitation space for Connect Child and Family Solutions at 435 Hampshire St., creating a family-centered environment with areas for meals, play, and shared time during the foster care process. A portion of funds will also support the QMG Foundation’s grant programs for local nonprofit work focused on community development, health, and youth initiatives.
The course passes through Downtown Quincy, crosses the Bayview Bridge into Missouri, then returns across the Memorial Bridge into Illinois. The route also follows Maine Street and circles Washington Park.

Medals and awards: all 10K and half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal; 5K medals are available for purchase. Registrations completed by March 20, 2026 are guaranteed a medal. Awards include top overall male and female finishers and age-group or masters categories as listed for each distance.
Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 8 at the Quincy Medical Building (235 N 12th Street) and on Saturday, May 9 at Clat Adams Bicentennial Park. Volunteers will receive instructions, maps, and a volunteer t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
