Team Gage Beast Endurance Race - Overview
The Team Gage Beast Endurance Race is a four-hour timed event held on a fully paved 1 mile loop on the Hannibal Regional Hospital Healthy Way Trail in Hannibal, Missouri. The course features a paved route with gentle rolling hills. Packet pickup and the race start are located near the rear parking lot of the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation building and the front of the Mark Twain Behavioral Health building.
Participants may compete solo or as part of a team of four and complete as many miles as possible within the four-hour window. Optional challenges are available for individuals or teams; completing these challenges earns bonus miles. Professional timing is provided by MSE Racing. Prizes include awards for top male, top female, top team of four, and a "Grit Award" recognizing persistence and encouragement.
Registration details are: entry by May 29 is $30 per person; entries after May 29 up to event day are $40. Registration closes on June 6. Runners who register by May 29 are guaranteed a Beast Endurance t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a car decal. Lunch is provided for participants after the event by Rebel Pig Smokehouse & Grill, donated for the fourth year. There are no refunds.
The event honors a local boy who lived with the degenerative disorder NGLY1. Proceeds support Mississippi Valley State School for the Handicapped and the Grace Science Foundation for NGLY1 research.
