Hull of a Race : Hull, IL (August 15, 2026)
Hull of a Race is an annual community running and fundraising event held in Hull, Illinois, supporting the St. Louis Area American Parkinson Disease Association. In 2025 the event donated $26,000 to the association and had 241 registered runners. The 2026 edition marks the event's 20th year.
The event presents multiple distance options:
- 0.25 Miles Kids 1/4 mile fun run
- 5K Timed competitive run
- 5K Timed fun walk, wheel chair and baby stroller roll
- 10K Timed competitive run
The 5K fun walk is explicitly walking only; running is not permitted in that event. The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified and pass through the village and surrounding farmland, including corn and soybean fields. Chip timing is used for the 5K and 10K events; overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards use chip net time. Awards include trophies, medallions, and ribbons.
Age divisions are: Fun Run 9 and under; 5K/10K divisions include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Shirts are guaranteed for entrants registered by August 1. Entry fees vary by event and registration date. The event operates rain or shine; lightning may postpone or cancel and refunds are not offered.
