Hull of a Race takes place on August 15, 2026 in Hull, Illinois. The event includes multiple timed and untimed events that raise funds for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
Event distances include:
- Kids 1/4 Mile fun run
- Timed 5K competitive run
- Timed 5K fun walk / wheel chair / baby stroller roll where running is prohibited
- Timed 10K competitive run
The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified (IL22004NM, IL22005NM) and weave through the village of Hull and surrounding countryside past corn and soybean fields. The start and finish are at the south end of Elm Street. The 5K and 10K races are chip timed by a professional timing company; overall awards use gun time and age group awards use chip (net) time. Awards include trophies, medallions, and ribbons.
Age groups are defined for the fun run and adult events, with standard categories from youth through 70 and over. Shirts are guaranteed for those who register by August 1. Early registration fees and family pricing apply; online registration is available through August 13. The race is run rain or shine; lightning may postpone or cancel and no refunds are offered.
