Katie's Run 5K Run/Walk, New Hyde Park
Katie's Run 5K Run/Walk takes place on June 28, 2026 in New Hyde Park, New York. The event is presented by the Katie McBride Foundation and is held rain or shine at New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY.
The event program includes multiple distances:
- 5K timed race with chip timing
- 2 mile untimed fun run and walk
- Children's Fun Run free after the race in the park
Online registrants receive a premium t-shirt and participants who register by June 7 receive a personalized bib. A post race barbecue celebration with live entertainment will follow in Memorial Park. Raffle tickets are available for purchase and a BBQ only option is offered with proceeds benefiting the foundation.
Awards are planned for overall top finishers, masters categories, and age group placements, with additional recognition for local high school students and residents. Early packet pickup is available the day before at the rear entrance of the funeral home, and packet pickup is also offered on race day at the same location.
