Katie Oppo Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The Katie Oppo Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a community race held at Flower Hill Village Park in Manhasset, NY. The event is a 5 kilometer run and walk conducted to raise funds for ovarian cancer research through the Katie Oppo Research Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All proceeds are granted to research institutions and individual researchers focused on the causes and prevention of SCCOHT and other forms of ovarian cancer.
Registration is not yet open; organizers plan to open registration at a later date. Race-day services include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, free same-day finish line video, and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is available on race day; participants should allow extra time and will need to know their bib number, with a self-lookup area provided. Registrations submitted shortly before pickup may receive bib numbers by text.
Event awards highlight team participation. Photos are taken of the top five largest teams and the largest team receives refillable water bottles branded for the Katie Oppo Research Fund.
