About the race
The Katie Oppo Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising event that supports ovarian cancer research through the Katie Oppo Research Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization. The event is held at Flower Hill Village Park, located at Bonnie Heights and Searingtown Road in Manhasset, NY. Registration is not yet open.
Event amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Participants should allow an extra ten minutes for bib pickup. Runners and walkers must know their bib number to pick up a packet; a self lookup area is provided for those who do not know their number. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number will be sent by text shortly after registration.
Awards procedures note that photos will be taken of the top five largest teams and featured on KORF social channels. The largest team will receive refillable water bottles provided by the event.
All proceeds from the event go directly to the Katie Oppo Research Fund and are granted to cancer research institutions and individual researchers focused on SCCOHT and other forms of ovarian cancer.
