The course follows the paved Cedar River Trail and returns to the community center campus for a looped 3.1 mile route. Chip timing is provided by Negative Split and the race bib serves as the timing chip; participants are asked to wear the bib on the outside of their clothing facing forward.
The event welcomes competitive runners, fun runners, walkers, families and participants with dogs. Race guidelines for dogs include a maximum of two dogs per person, leash length no more than six feet, no dogs under six months, current vaccinations required, and owners must pick up after their animals. Strollers are allowed on the course. Aggressive dogs or owners will be asked to leave.

Bib and sweatshirt pickup is available at the Renton Community Center prior to the event and onsite the morning of the race.
The event includes an annual pet food drive to collect donations for local animals in need. Awards are given to top finishers in several age and gender categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
