The Electric Cookie Run
The Electric Cookie Run is a seasonal running event held on December 5, 2026, at Green Lake in Seattle. The event uses the Green Lake Community Center area and the loop around Green Lake as the race course.
Participants are encouraged to wear festive holiday attire and lights. Runners collect a light up medal after finishing and may receive cookies from Seattle bakeries. The event is professionally chip timed and is USATF sanctioned. The course is one or two laps around Green Lake and is described as straightforward.
Distances
- One lap : about 2.8 miles (about 5K)
- Two laps : about 5.6 miles (about 10K)
Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day at Road Runner Sports locations in Bellevue and Seattle. Parking for participants is on-street around Green Lake and carpooling is recommended. Water is available at the start and finish area; 10K participants pass that point at the halfway mark. There will be three porta-potties at the start/finish area. Walkers are welcome. Dogs are not allowed on the course but may be present at start and finish areas.
