Seattle Marathon
The Seattle Marathon weekend takes place in late November and includes a full marathon and a half marathon that start near Seattle Center and finish at Pier 66. The event weekend also includes a Health & Fitness Expo and pre-race registration, bib, and shirt pickup hosted at The Westin Seattle, which serves as the official race headquarters.
The event schedule for 2026 spans a multi-day weekend with expo and packet pickup on the days before the races, a Kids Marathon on the Saturday of the weekend, and the marathon and half marathon on Sunday. A virtual race option is offered; virtual finisher packets are shipped in mid-December and virtual participants must post their times by December 15.
Regular registration rates listed for 2026 are $187.49 for the full marathon and $155.17 for the half marathon, with rates increasing on October 12, 2026. The Westin Seattle provides a discounted room block for the event with discounted dates from November 21 through November 30, 2026 and a registration cutoff for the room block on October 30, 2026. Parking is available and the organizer recommends reserving parking in advance through a parking reservation service.
The organization also promotes a summer run in Seward Park with options of 5k, 10k, and a half marathon, plus a kids fun run, which provides additional preparation opportunities ahead of the fall event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
