K-Town Triathlon and Duathlon
K-Town is one of the oldest triathlons in Canada, founded in 1984, and is held on CFB Kingston. The 2026 edition offers Sprint, Olympic and Enduro formats. The swim temperature is expected to be 22–24°C. The bike course is a rolling shared-road route toward Gananoque. The run course passes the Barriefield Rock Garden and uses quiet roads on the base. Post-race activity takes place in historic Kingston.
Main race formats and distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: swim 750 m, bike 20 km, run 5 km
- Olympic Triathlon: swim 1500 m, bike 40 km, run 10 km
- Enduro Triathlon: Sprint followed by Olympic combined
- Sprint Duathlon: run 2.5 km, bike 20 km, run 5 km
- 10K Run: 10 km
- 5K Run: 5 km
- Relay options: 2 or 3 person relays covering triathlon legs
Registration includes a free virtual bike fit, a swim cap, a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female and non-binary finishers, post-race snacks and a paid food truck. A hotel discount is offered.
The Enduro format requires completing both Sprint and Olympic back to back and has dedicated results pages. Refunds are available only with purchased cancellation insurance. Volunteers supporting the event are from Childhood Cancer Canada. Pre-race resources include a virtual orientation video and an athlete handbook.
