Fort Henry 5KXC & Kids 1KXC
The Kingston Road Runners Association presents an annual cross country event at Fort Henry Hill in Kingston, Ontario. The course sits atop the hill and overlooks Fort Henry, RMC and the city. The site is a closed course that is used by multiple clubs and associations.

The 5KXC uses a 2.5 km loop with small rolling hills, mostly covered with grass. There will not be a water station on course; water bottles and pre-packaged snacks will be handed out at the end of the race.
Awards include medals for the overall fastest three males and females and medals for the top three in each age category (U19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+). The Kids 1KXC awards medals to the top three boys and girls (12 years and younger) and ribbons for all 1KXC finishers. A Middle-of-the-Pace Prize is given to the runner who places exactly in the middle of the pack. Draw prizes are distributed during the awards and require presence to win.
The event includes a team competition with Open and Women divisions. Teams must consist of four runners; scoring is by place with the lowest total winning and the tie break decided by the fourth runner. Top three teams in each division receive medals. Team entry closes on 17 September 2026 and there are no day of entries for the team event. Team members must be entered in the 5KXC and there is no additional team fee.
Registration costs listed are 5KXC at $40 with a $5 discount available for KRRA members using a code, and 1KXC at $10. The first 100 5KXC registrants receive a branded beer glass. The Kids 1KXC is part of the Kingston Kids Race Series and awards a KKRS finisher ribbon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
