9runrun Kingston is a running and walking event based at Lake Ontario Park. This is the event's second Kingston edition, with waterfront sections and a new 10 km course that passes through the historic grounds of Kingston Penitentiary.
The event offers these distances:
- 2 km walk or run
- 5 km race distance
- 10 km new route including Kingston Penitentiary
Proceeds support Victim Services Kingston & Frontenac, a 24/7 frontline agency that works with police, fire, and EMS to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and practical help to people affected by crime, violence, or sudden tragedies.
Participation options include a Green Bib choice that does not include a medal or race t-shirt and directs $5 of the registration fee to Victim Services. Finisher medals are available while quantities last. A limited edition running cap is offered to registered 5 km and 10 km participants while supplies last. Event photographers will capture moments along the course and at the finish.
Race kit pick-up and onsite registration are held at the Lake Ontario Park Pavilion. The 10 km route is listed as subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
