Juneteenth on the Shore: Community 5K
Juneteenth on the Shore is a community-centered 5K event organized by How We Build and held in Salisbury City Park Bandstand, Salisbury, Maryland, on Friday, June 19, 2026. The event takes place in person and is listed with an overall duration of about four hours.
The course is professionally timed and is open to participants who prefer to walk or run. The format encourages participants to move at their own pace while taking part in a community experience that connects movement with historical observance.
Youth participation is supported through a registration incentive: youth up to age 24 may earn free registration by attending a qualifying community partner event before June 15. Young participants ages 13-24 are also eligible for two monetary awards of $500 each; winners will be announced at the close of the 5K.
