Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K
The Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K is held at the College of Staten Island Performing Arts Center in Staten Island, New York. The event includes a single 5 kilometer race and onsite amenities for participants and spectators.
Registration is not yet open; organizers note registration will open ahead of the posted event date. A personalized race number is available for entries completed three weeks in advance, and a bib lookup system is provided for those who do not know their bib number.
Amenities include an optional after party with food trucks and music as an add-on for 5K registrants and as a separate option for spectators. Live online, text, and email results are provided, along with free finish line photos and same-day video. Listed food vendors have included Teps Truck and Treats, Joyce's Tavern, Rosario's, Boar's Head, Lickety Split, and Brooklyn Bagels and Café.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to the top male and female in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
Proceeds are intended to support the renaming of the CSI Campus Park Café in Jodi's honor; after that commitment is fulfilled, additional funds will support a scholarship in Jodi's name and a donation to Humane World for Animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
