Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K
The Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K is a 5 kilometer road event listed at the College of Staten Island Performing Arts Center in Staten Island, NY. Registration is not yet open; the organizer will open registration ahead of the event and offers a notification option for those who want to be informed.
The event includes an optional after party add on with food trucks and music. Live online, text, and email results are provided. Finish line photos and same day video are available at no charge. Runners who register at least three weeks in advance can receive a personalized bib.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female in age group categories. Age groups listed include 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, and 70 plus.
Funds raised will support the renaming of the CSI Campus Park Cafe in Jodi’s honor. After the naming commitment has been fulfilled, additional funds will be used to establish a scholarship in Jodi’s name and to provide a donation to Humane World for Animals.
Bib pickup is handled on race day by event staff. Participants must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a self lookup area is available. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number can be texted quickly or retrieved via the event bib lookup service.
