Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K
The Jodi Merendino Bencivenga Run 5K is scheduled for May 16, 2027 at the College of Staten Island Performing Arts Center, 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY. Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event.
The event offers a timed 5-kilometer race with live online, text, and email results. Finish line photos and same-day video highlights are provided at no charge. Participants who register at least three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib number. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on race day; a self-lookup option is available for those who do not know their bib number. If registration occurs shortly before pickup, organizers can provide bib numbers by text.
An optional after party is available as an add-on to 5K registration and is also offered as a separate option for spectators and guests. Food truck vendors at the event have included Teps Truck and Treats, Joyce's Tavern, Rosario's, Boar's Head, Lickety Split, and Brooklyn Bagels and Café.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers and to top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
Proceeds will support renaming the CSI Campus Park Café in Jodi’s honor. After the naming commitment is fulfilled, additional funds will be used to establish a scholarship in Jodi’s name and to provide a donation to Humane World for Animals.
