Jodi 5K Run & Walk
The Jodi 5K Run & Walk is the fifth annual community running event held on November 8, 2026, at Forest Hills Park, 1639 University Drive, Durham, NC 27707. The event benefits the Lung Cancer Initiative and remembers a local runner who died from lung cancer in October 2021.
There are two event options, both of the same distance:
- 5K Run / Walk - 3.1 miles (in person)
- Virtual 5K Run / Walk - 3.1 miles (virtual)
The in-person 5K is chip timed. Participants receive finisher awards, event t-shirts, and post-race food and refreshments. Packet pickup is available the day before at Bull City Running - Downtown and on race day at the Forest Hills Park pavilion; specific pickup times are provided by the organizer.
Registration details differ by option. In-person registration opens on August 1, 2026 and closes on September 30, 2026 with a listed fee of $35. Virtual registration opens on August 1, 2026 and remains open through November 8, 2026 with a listed fee of $30.
