Jodi 5K Run & Walk
The Jodi 5K Run & Walk takes place on November 8, 2026 at Forest Hills Park, 1639 University Dr, Durham, NC 27707. This is the fifth annual event that benefits the Lung Cancer Initiative and honors the memory of a community member who died from lung cancer in October 2021.
The event offers a chip-timed 5K run or walk. Finishers receive awards, event t-shirts, and there are post-race food and refreshments. A virtual 5K option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.

- VIRTUAL 5K Run / Walk (remote participation option)
Pre-race packet pickup is available at Bull City Running - Downtown on November 7 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Race day packet pickup is available at the Forest Hills Park pavilion on November 8 from 7:45 to 9:00 am.
Registration opens August 1, 2026. The in-person 5K registration closes August 31, 2026; the virtual 5K registration closes November 8, 2026. Registration fees are $35 for the in-person 5K and $30 for the virtual 5K. Volunteer opportunities are listed for those who wish to assist with the event.
