About the race
Not Your Ordinary 5K is a HYROX-style simulation held on 11/07/2026 in Carrboro, North Carolina at 601 - A W Main Street. The format combines a 5K run with eight functional fitness stations arranged around the course.
The 5K is split into eight 625-meter running loops. After each loop, participants complete a different fitness station before returning to the course. The sequence is: complete a 625 meter run, do the station for that loop, then run the next 625 meters.
The eight stations are:
- 300m row
- 30 box jumps or step-ups
- 300 ft farmer's carry
- 30 burpees to a plate
- 300m ski
- 30 sandbag walking lunges
- 30 calorie Echo bike
- 30 wall balls
After Station 8, participants run the final 625 meter loop and cross the finish line.
Registration options include individual entries and doubles entries. Standard fees listed are $25 for LNGVTY members and $40 for non-members. Non-member registration may include the race day event, a 7-day LNGVTY group membership, a body scan, optional race t-shirt for $20, and items such as product samples, cold plunge access, and chair massages.
