Jingle Bell Run at Southbourne Beach
The Jingle Bell Run is a Christmas themed children's 3K along the promenade at Southbourne Beach, Bournemouth, Dorset. The event is aimed at children and takes place on a flat tarmacked route beside the seafront.
All children receive a medal, a "Jingle Bell" Christmas tree decoration and a sweet treat. Festive themed dress is encouraged, with examples given such as a Santa suit, Grinch hat, Christmas fairy or donkey. There will be games and activities at the event.
The route is out and back so children may turn around when they wish and do not have to complete the full 3K. Adults may run with children. Because some participants may not complete the whole course, there will be no official results for this run.
The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. Entry is listed at £11.00. Paid and onstreet parking is available near the start and finish and the nearest carpark is Warren Edge. Local bus services are provided by Morebus and the nearest train stations are Christchurch and Pokesdown for Boscombe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
