Jingle Bell Run

The Jingle Bell Run is a Christmas-themed children's 3K along the promenade at Southbourne Beach, Bournemouth, Dorset on 12 December 2026. The event is aimed at young participants and takes place on a coastal promenade.

All children receive a medal, a 'Jingle Bell' Christmas tree decoration and a sweet treat. Festive-themed dress is encouraged, with examples given such as a Santa suit, Grinch hat, Christmas fairy or donkey. There will be games and activities during the event.

The route is flat and tarmacked, and adults may run with children. The course follows an out and back layout so children may turn around before completing the full 3K if needed; there will be no official results because not all participants are expected to complete the whole course.

This event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. Organisers encourage use of public transport or car sharing where possible. Paid and onstreet parking is available near the start and finish, with the nearest carpark named Warren Edge.
