Event overview
The Jersey City Marathon & Half Marathon Marquee Experience at Newport takes place on April 19, 2026, in Jersey City, New Jersey. The event is organized by the Jersey City Road Runners in partnership with the City of Jersey City and is the fourth annual edition. Races start and finish in the Newport area at Newport Parkway and Washington Boulevard.

Race details and policies
The marathon and half marathon are USA Track & Field sanctioned on a USATF-certified course and are listed as a qualifying event for the 2027 Boston Marathon. Published registration prices at the time of listing are $150 for the half marathon and $190 for the full marathon; prices increase after November 30, 2025. The full marathon is open to ages 18 to 99.
Transfers and deferrals follow stated deadlines and fees: the last date to transfer a registration is April 15, 2026, with a $25 transfer administration fee; the last date to defer to the next year is March 15, 2026, for a $25 fee. If transferring, the shirt size and gender chosen at original registration may be given to the transferee. There are no race refunds; race insurance options are available and are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company and administered by AGA Service Company. Expo entry is included with registration, and bib pickup at the expo is allowed; picking up a bib for another athlete requires that athlete’s confirmation email.
