Event Overview
The JCC Falafel 5K and Splash+Dash 2026 is a multi-activity event benefiting the Asheville JCC. It features several race options: a 5K run, a virtual 5K, a "Splash+Dash" combining a swim with the 5K run, and a 1K kids' run for ages 3-9.
Race Details
The event takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 40 Clyde Street in Asheville, North Carolina. The start area is at the pavilion next to the JCC Pool. The Splash portion begins at the JCC Pool. The kids' 1K starts at the pavilion, followed by the 5K run.
The Splash+Dash offers a choice between a 200-yard (short) or 800-yard (long) swim, followed by the 5K run. Transition time between the swim and run is not counted.
Prizes and Perks
Prizes are awarded for the top three overall male and female finishers, first-place stroller runners, first-place dog/human teams, and first place in each 10-year age group. Each participant receives a free falafel sandwich. An ice cream truck will be present from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and participants are invited to a private pool party at the AJCC Aquatics Center after the race.
