Woodfin 5K
The Woodfin 5K is the 10th annual community 5K run and walk held on April 24, 2027 at Woodfin Elementary School, 108 Elk Mountain Road, Woodfin, NC 28804. The event is presented by the school as a local fitness and fundraising activity.
The event supports Woodfin Elementary students. Registration and donations benefit the children enrolled at the school. Since 2014, the Read - Write - Run event has raised more than $80,000 to support classrooms from kindergarten through grade four.
The 5K run and walk is hosted by Woodfin Elementary School with support and coordination from the Woodfin Elementary School PTO, the Town of Woodfin, YMCA of WNC, New Life Community Church, Reynolds Mountain Homeowners Association, and other community friends, sponsors, and volunteers.
