Fort McClellan Credit Union Janney Furnace 5K 2026
The Fort McClellan Credit Union Janney Furnace 5K is scheduled for October 17, 2026 at Janney Furnace Park, 145 Janney Road, Ohatchee, AL 36271. The event is a USATF certified 5K held on a rolling course that passes the historic Janney Furnace and continues through downtown Ohatchee.
Proceeds benefit Friends of Janney Furnace and the Anniston Lions Local Sight Program. Entry fees are listed as $25 for pre-entry and $30 for race day entry. Participants who pre-register by October 1 are guaranteed a long sleeve tech shirt; shirts are available after that date while supplies last.
Timing is electronic; results will be chip timed using reusable shoe chips. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, and to the top three finishers by age category for male and female competitors. The published age group structure includes categories from 14 and under up to 70 and over.
