Plucked Turkey 10k

The Plucked Turkey 10k is a Thanksgiving morning running event held in Anniston, Alabama. Participants follow a 6.2 mile course that travels through the Golden Springs community. This route is USATF certified and features chip timing for all participants. The event is organized by the Anniston Runners Club (ARC) and serves as a benefit for the local YMCA.

Both runners and walkers are permitted to participate in the race, and the event is open to families. Registration is organized into several age group categories for both males and females, beginning at 9 and under and extending to 80 and over.

Specific awards are provided for top finishers in the overall categories. The first-place male and female finishers receive a turkey breast from The Honey Baked Ham Company. The second and third-place overall finishers for both genders are awarded pies.

Check-in and packet pick-up are available on the day before the race at the ARC/NEABA headquarters. On the morning of the event, check-in services are also provided at the Norwood Hodges Community Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
