Bridge to Bridge Run
Bridge to Bridge Run is a four mile road and trail race held in Peoria, Illinois on September 7, 2026. The event starts at RC Outfitters at 311 SW Water St and uses the Rock Island Greenway Trail and Riverfront Trail to cross the Illinois River via the Bob Michel Bridge. The route continues along the riverfront, passes behind the Bass Pro building, and reaches a turnaround at a motel parking lot near the two mile mark before returning to the start.
Water stops are provided near the one and three mile markers, at the two mile turnaround, and at the start/finish area. Packet pickup and race shirt distribution are scheduled before the race, with a designated Saturday pickup at RC Outfitters and a morning pickup on race day; packets and shirts must be collected at packet pickup and are not mailed after the event.
A post-race celebration and awards ceremony take place at the CEFCU Center Stage near the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center. Food is supplied by Olive Garden and beverages are provided; a live band performs during the celebration. Awards include overall top male and female, engraved trophies, and age-group awards for top three in each listed category. Door prize drawings are part of the awards presentation and require presence to win. Discounts are available for Illinois Valley Striders members and for active military.
