Bridge to Bridge Run : Peoria, IL
The Bridge to Bridge Run is a 4 mile road and trail race held in Peoria and East Peoria on September 7, 2026. The event starts at the Rock Island Greenway Trail across from RC Outfitters (311 SW Water St, Peoria) and follows the Greenway, climbs toward the Bob Michel Bridge pedestrian path, crosses the Illinois River into East Peoria, then continues onto the Riverfront Trail. The route passes under I‑74 and around the rear of Bass Pro, with the two mile turnaround at a motel parking lot. Runners retrace the route back to the start/finish on the Rock Island Greenway Trail.
Water stations are located near the 1 and 3 mile markers, at the 2 mile turnaround, and at the start/finish line. Course routing may change if required by IDOT road work; the 2026 course is described as comparatively flat.
Packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters the weekend before the race and on race day at the same location. Timing and scoring for the event are provided by ShaZam Racing.
A post race celebration and awards ceremony take place at the CEFCU Center Stage (200 N. Water St), north of the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Hot food is supplied by Olive Garden with beverage options including soft drinks, water, Gatorade, and beer. A live band provides music during the post race gathering.
Awards include overall top male and female (gun time) and age group awards (net time) across multiple age categories. Raffle prizes and sponsor gift certificates are included among event awards and door prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
