It's More Than a Hill 5K
It’s More Than a Hill 5K is a certified 5K / 3.1 miles run and walk scheduled for 09/05/2026. The event is hosted by The Hill 317 in partnership with the City of Lawrence through the Live Longer Initiative. Registered participants receive a race bib and an official event shirt. Every finisher receives a custom finisher medal plus water and a recovery snack. The Top 5 finishers receive a trophy or premium medal and a Jordan bookbag. Registered participants also have access to a finish-line photo area, community partners, vendors, and wellness resources. The event provides an official event shirt for registered participants, with a notice that registrations made within 48 to 72 hours of race day may not receive the shirt on race day; missing shirts can be picked up at the next Thursday Hill session.
Day-of registrations are subject to availability and may include only a recovery snack and water. Race shirts, medals, bibs, and other participant items are not guaranteed for same-day registrations and will be provided only if available.
