Hit the Bricks Run/Walk
The Zionsville Optimist Club organizes the annual Hit the Bricks event in Zionsville, Indiana. The club is a nonprofit volunteer organization established in 1981 and is a member of Optimist International. All proceeds from the event support youth programs in Zionsville and Boone County.
The event offers a competitive timed run and a casual distance for families and walkers. The 5K is a timed race with prizes awarded in several age categories. The 3K is presented as a fun run or walk, and families are welcome; strollers and pets are permitted.
This edition is the 43rd annual Hit the Bricks. The club notes that the event is typically held on a fall morning. Over the Zionsville Optimist Club’s 44 plus years, more than $430,000 has been given to local youth, with $19,000 distributed so far in 2025. The event proceeds remain within the local community to fund programs and projects for youth in Boone County and Zionsville.
