The BK5K race committee will hold the 8th annual Indianapolis BK5K on July 25, 2026 at Leonard Park, 5400 W 15th St., Speedway, IN. The event supports area youth; all proceeds go to various 501.c.3 youth organizations and programs that demonstrate financial need. Funding grants will be evaluated and dispersed by the local BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K run/walk
- Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under
Registration details include an early registration period that ends July 14 and an online registration deadline of July 24. Race day registration is available on site. Entry fees during online registration are listed by category: 5K adults (18 and older) $17 early, $20 after early registration, $25 race day; 5K youth (17 and younger) $7 early, $10 after, $15 race day. The Kids Fun Run is free during online registration and $5 on race day. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after the early registration period.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three female and male finishers (1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50). Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall finishers and medals to the top three in each age group, with separate categories for men and women.
