Family Day Flight Line 5K & Relay Run
The Family Day Flight Line 5K & Relay Run takes place on August 1, 2026, at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls, New York. The event is open only to past and present military, Department of Defense personnel, and their family members.
The course starts and finishes on the flight line at the runway side of Building 850 and is a new course currently undergoing certification. Participants run on the aircraft taxiway and pass static aircraft. Water is provided at the midpoint, and bottled water plus light food and snacks are available at the finish area.
Online registration remains open until the start of the race. Check-in and packet pickup are at Building 850 in the hangar on race day from 11:00 to 11:45. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 17 at 9:00. Entry fees are listed as follows: 5K individual run $34.00 including a dri-fit race shirt if registered by July 17; 5K two-person relay $32.00 per person including a cotton race t-shirt if registered by July 17. Two-person relay teams may register individually but both entrants must use the exact same team name.
A post-race celebration will include light food and snacks, music, and an awards ceremony. There is ample free parking on the base. Awards are presented to the top male and top female 5K finishers and to the top relay team.
Timing uses gun start and chip finish with electronic RFID timing. Results are updated in real time and are accessible after finishing via mobile app, race kiosks and printers, scrolling results monitors, and online.
