Island View Endurance Run : Island View Endurance Trail Run
The Island View Endurance Run is a multi-distance trail event organized by the Santa Barbara County Trails Council on the Gaviota Coast in California. The event is scheduled for October 24 and 25, 2026, and is located at the Baron Ranch Trailhead between Santa Barbara and Buellton.
The route runs through Los Padres National Forest and the Santa Ynez Mountains, with sections on ranch roads and single track that reach Gaviota Peak and panoramic ridgelines. The landscape is chaparral with coastal riparian zones and a Mediterranean climate. Course features include multiple climbs and descents, varied terrain through canyons, and views of the ocean and the Santa Ynez Valley.

Course elevation and gain figures are provided for each distance. Examples include 24,059 feet of elevation gain for the 100 mile course and a highest point around 2,769 feet with a lowest point near 59 feet. Participant services noted by the organizer include aid stations, EMT support, a runner guide, finish line food and water, and event insurance and permits.
