Island View Endurance Run
The Island View Endurance Run is an endurance trail running event hosted by the Santa Barbara County Trails Council on the Gaviota Coast in California. The event takes place October 24 and 25, 2026, with the start area at the Baron Ranch Trailhead near Goleta, located on Calle Real between Santa Barbara and Buellton. Routes run through Los Padres National Forest and the Santa Ynez Mountains and include sections to Gaviota Peak, ridgelines, and canyons.
The course surface is a mix of ranch roads and single-track trails through chaparral and coastal riparian zones in a Mediterranean climate. The routes include multiple climbs and descents, ridge runs with ocean and valley views, and varied terrain across foothills and crest. Elevation gain varies by distance, for example the 100-mile course lists 24,059 feet of climb while the 100-kilometer course lists 15,994 feet.

Entry fees listed for main distances are $350 for the 100-mile entry, $250 for the 100-kilometer entry, $150 for the 50-kilometer entry, and $75 for the 25-kilometer entry. Some race services noted by the organizer include official race shirts, aid stations (varies by distance), race photos, EMT support, and finish-line food and water.
