Goleta Beach Run Events
Goleta Beach Run Events stage multiple road and park courses at Goleta Beach Park with race dates listed for June 27, 2026 and December 12, 2026. Packet pickup occurs on race day from 7 to 9 am. All participants must register online; no race day signups are allowed.

- Half Marathon
- Grinch 10K (6.65 miles)
- 5K
- 1-mile Kid's Fun Run
The Half Marathon is an out-and-back course that begins at the west end of Goleta Beach Park on a dedicated bike and run path. The route is nearly flat and uses a combination of the paved bike path and an offroad hard-packed soil creek path. At about 1.6 miles runners cross Patterson Avenue where volunteers will caution runners and vehicles. The course runs along Atascadero Creek for approximately 1.33 miles, reaches a turnaround at Puente Avenue, and is run as two laps, with specific outbound sections on the creek path and return sections on the paved path.
The Grinch 10K follows the same general out-and-back routing as the half marathon but is a single lap with the finish located along the beach heading toward UCSB.
The 5K is an out-and-back on the paved bike path with a turnaround just before Patterson Avenue.
The 1-mile Kid's Fun Run stays within Goleta Beach Park on the new walking path around picnic areas and the cliff overlooking the beach; the layout allows friends and family to keep an eye on participants and parents may run with children.
