Santa Barbara Running Association Resolution Run
The Santa Barbara Running Association presents a waterfront 5K and 10K run/walk on New Year’s Day, held along the SB Waterfront Path with the start and finish area at Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara. The event includes both community racing and Grand Prix competition categories.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) for the Junior Grand Prix
- 10K (6.2 Miles) as the inaugural SBRA Grand Prix event for 2027
All races carry a base registration fee of $50 before member discounts. Runners may add the second race to complete 15K of racing for an additional $10. SBRA members receive a $10 registration discount, and SBRA Junior Grand Prix members race free. Packet pickup and late registration are available at Leadbetter Beach on race day.
SBRA organizes the event to support the local running community; proceeds benefit school, youth, and club running programs throughout Santa Barbara County. The event combines open competition with yearlong Grand Prix scoring opportunities for participants who are SBRA Grand Prix members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
