Event overview
The Santa Barbara Running Association Resolution Run takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara, CA (801 Shoreline Drive, 93109). The event offers a waterfront course on the SB Waterfront Path with the start/finish area at Leadbetter Beach. Event options include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles), run or walk (Junior Grand Prix race)
- 10K (6.2 Miles), run or walk (Grand Prix race) Participants may also complete both races as a combined New Year’s 15K.
The 10K is the inaugural SBRA Grand Prix event for 2026; the 5K serves as the Junior Grand Prix event. SBRA states that these events benefit school, youth, and club running programs throughout Santa Barbara County.
Registration and logistics
The event text lists base registration at $50, with an option to “double up” for an additional $10 (both races for $60). Individual event pages show a price of $54, which includes a $4 fee. SBRA Adult Members receive a $10 discount, SBRA Junior Grand Prix members race free, and runners under 18 pay $20 using the discount code UNDER18.
