Goleta Beach Holiday Half Marathon and Run Events
Two race days are listed for Goleta Beach Run Events in 2026: one on June 27 and a Holiday event on December 12. Packet pickup is held on race day from 7:00 to 9:00. Participants must register online; race day signups are not allowed.

- Grinch 10K (6.65 miles)

- 1 mile Kids Fun Run
Course notes common to the road races: all road courses start at the west end of Goleta Beach Park on the UCSB side and run along a dedicated bike and run path that is nearly flat. Runners cross Patterson Avenue at one point where vehicle traffic is possible and volunteers will be present. Courses include short bridge crossings, a segment on a hard packed soil creek path along Atascadero Creek, then a return on the paved bike path.
Half Marathon specifics: the half is an out-and-back format that uses the creek path outbound and the paved path inbound, includes a turnaround at Puente Avenue, and requires two laps that pass the Goleta Beach entrance bridge and the large rock before the final finish.
The 1 mile Kids Fun Run stays inside Goleta Beach Park on the new walking path around picnic areas and the cliffside walkway. Parents are encouraged to run with children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
