Event overview
The Ipswich Ale Half Marathon is a half marathon scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The race is hosted by the Ipswich-Rowley Rotary and starts and finishes at Crane Beach on Argilla Road. Registration fees listed are $99 (through March 22, 2026) and $125 for late registration (March 23 through April 20, 2026), plus an administrative fee. The number of entrants is capped and the race regularly sells out. There are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals after registration. Net race proceeds go to the Ipswich Rotary Charitable Trust for local charities and scholarships.
Course and race services
The measured course has a total climb of 576 feet and a maximum elevation of 157 feet in the first mile. The terrain is generally rolling with several smaller hills. Roads are not closed for the race; police officers, course marshals and volunteers will be on course and medical support will be located at the start/finish area. The course has five water stations at approximately miles 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 11.5, with Gatorade available at miles 5 and 10. Porta johns are at the start/finish area and at approximate miles 4.5, 7.5 and 9.5. Each registered runner receives a race t-shirt and every finisher receives a medal.
