IPA 5K & Half Marathon
The IPA 5K & Half Marathon is a summer running event held in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This athletic gathering focuses on a theme that celebrates India Pale Ale craft beer. The event features two primary distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K
Both courses start and finish at the RiverWalk Brewing Co. The routes are described as scenic and are USATF sanctioned. Participants in both the 5K and Half Marathon receive several amenities, including a finisher medal, a race shirt (with male and female cuts available), and free race photos. Registered runners also receive a drawstring backpack, an armband phone holder, and access to finish line refreshments and fresh baked treats.
On-course hydration and nutrition stations are provided during the races. Electronic services such as result alerts, finisher certificates, and GPS runner tracking through RaceJoy are included for participants. Age group awards, specifically first, second, and third-place medals, are presented in five-year age increments.
