IPA Half Marathon Newburyport
The IPA Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles road race held in Newburyport, Massachusetts on July 18, 2027. The event uses RiverWalk Brewing Co., 40 Parker St, Newburyport, MA 01950, as the start and finish location; a taproom is on site.
Registration opens on 2026-08-11 and closes on 2027-01-31. The listed registration fee is $79.99.
Participants must pick up bibs and race swag on race day only; bibs must be collected by the registered participant and cannot be picked up for others. Bag check is not available.
Course support includes nine water aid stations near miles 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Zym Hydration will be available near miles 2, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 12, and energy gels will be available near mile 6. Portable restrooms are located at the start/finish and near miles 3 and 10. Runners are encouraged to carry additional hydration as needed.
There is no parking at the start/finish. Public parking is available within a short walk at:
- Newburyport Commuter Parking Area, 25 Boston Way
- 28 Parker St
- Newburyport Commuter Parking Area, 196 Newburyport Turnpike Public parking fees apply; one walking route passes the end of the train platform past Metzy's to reach Parker St.
The roads remain open to traffic and will be monitored by the local police; participants should stay to the side of the road. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group; awards and purchased merchandise must be picked up at the event and will not be mailed or refunded.
