IPA Half Marathon - Newburyport
The IPA Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile road race that starts and finishes at RiverWalk Brewing Co., 40 Parker St, Newburyport, MA 01950. Registration opens 08/21/2025 and closes 01/31/2026; the listed registration fee is $79.00.
Please, NO PARKING at the Start/Finish line. Public parking is available within walking distance at several locations: Newburyport Commuter Parking Area (25 Boston Way), 28 Parker St, and Newburyport Commuter Parking Area (196 Newburyport Turnpike). Public parking fees apply.
Bib and race swag pick-up is race day only from 7:00am to 7:45am and must be picked up by participants; bibs cannot be picked up for others. Bag check is not available.
The course has nine aid stations with water near miles 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Zym Hydration will be available near miles 2, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 12. Energy gels will be available near mile 6. Portable restrooms will be at the start/finish and near miles 3 and 10. Participants are encouraged to carry additional hydration for summer conditions.
Roads along the course remain open to traffic; the local police department will help monitor traffic and runners should stay to the side of the road. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group; awards and purchased merchandise must be picked up at the event and will not be mailed.
