Event overview
The Instant Classic is a road race held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Rose Rudman Park, 450 Shiloh Rd., Tyler, TX 75703. The event offers multiple distance options:
- Kid's Dash
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- Virtual Option
The 10K course is two laps of the mapped route and the 15K is three laps of the same route. The Kid's Dash is a short 100–200 meter sprint. The 1 Mile is an untimed option with no age group awards.
Entries, awards and logistics
Entry fees are listed per event; several in-person distances have a price increase after March 31, 2026. Virtual registrations include shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race. Registration includes an event-themed participation t-shirt; registering by 08/15 guarantees t-shirt size. Finisher Medal Cubes are provided for the 5K, 10K, 15K, and 1 Mile. Age group awards (4 deep) are offered for the 5K, 10K, and 15K across standard male and female divisions and several master categories; overall and masters winners receive overall medals. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank-you. The organizer donates a portion of proceeds to Encounter Church (Fate).
