Tyler Azalea Run
Established in 1984, the Tyler Azalea Run is an annual spring event held in Tyler, Texas. The race takes place along the official Tyler Azalea Trails, a historic floral route that dates back to the first plantings in 1929. The course winds through scenic residential areas known for extensive displays of blooming azaleas, which attract a significant number of visitors to the city each year.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Kids' Race - 1 km
The event is organized at 1510 S College Ave and serves as a fundraiser for the community. Financial proceeds from the race are donated to support The Children’s Village, a local nonprofit organization. For the children's event, parents are permitted to run alongside their kids at no additional cost. Registration for the distances and the youth race typically remains open until the day before the event or until limited spots are filled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
