Tater-Tot Trot in Tyler

The Tater-Tot Trot is a running event taking place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Rose Rudman Park in Tyler, Texas. The event offers multiple distance options: a Kid's Dash, a 5K, and a 1 mile run.

Registration for the 5K and 1 mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Participants must register by February 28 to guarantee their t-shirt size. The 5K is a gun-timed race with age group awards. The top four finishers in each age division receive an additional medal. Overall winners and masters categories receive platinum medals. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.

The Kid's Dash is a free, short sprint of 100–200 meters designed for children. It takes place before the main races. Dashers can purchase a t-shirt and medal as an add-on. The new 1 mile option is untimed and does not have age group awards, but participants still receive a finisher medal and shirt. A virtual race option is also available, with the shirt and medal shipped to participants.

Volunteers can earn a code for a free race entry by helping on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
