The Tater-Tot Trot takes place on March 14, 2026 in Tyler, Texas at Rose Rudman Park, 450 Shiloh Rd., 75703. The event offers multiple entry types:
- Kid's Dash
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Virtual Option
The Kid's Dash is a short 100–200 meter sprint and is free to enter; t-shirts and finisher medals are available as paid add-ons. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and does not have age group awards. The virtual option includes shipped race items.
Registration, awards and extras
Registered participants in the 5K and 1 Mile receive an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. To guarantee a t-shirt size, registration must be completed by February 28. Age group awards apply to the 5K only. Age groups are male and female and are awarded four deep in standard ranges from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall and masters divisions (including 40+ and 60+ categories) receive platinum medals. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped. The virtual option includes shipment of the shirt and medal the week of the race. Volunteers who work race-day tasks receive a code for a free race entry as a thank you.
