Insomniac Night Trail Run Series
The Insomniac Night Trail Run Series is a set of six night races held in Maricopa County Regional Parks from April through September. The series features multiple race distances with courses run at night. Distances span 5 kilometers to 75 kilometers, and individual event offerings vary by date and venue.
Events in the 2026 portfolio are scheduled on the following dates and locations: April 25 at San Tan Mountain Regional Park in Queen Creek; May 23 at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills; June 13 at Estrella Mountain Competitive Track in Tolleson; July 11 at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa; August 8 at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell; and September 19 at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills. Each event lists multiple distance options for participants.
The series includes tiered pass options that bundle several races and provide a stated 20 percent savings on registration. Passes have names and distance alignments, and there is a unique Insomniac award for series pass participants. A points system ranks runners within each pass: the top three scores from an individual's races determine their series score. Prizes for top finishers include race entries and race credits, and standard registration and pass terms note that passes are nonrefundable for missed races and that substitutions are at the race director's discretion.
