Bare Buns Desert Run
The Bare Buns Desert Run is a desert trail event held on the Shangrai La Ranch property in New River, Arizona (44444 Shangrai La Lane, New River, AZ 85087, United States). The course runs up a hiking trail, along a dry wash, and through much of the ranch grounds.
Participants are encouraged to run nude while wearing tennis shoes; nudity is not required. Race registration includes a day visit to the ranch facilities, which feature pools, a café, a clubhouse, a game room, and additional hiking opportunities. The event offers an opportunity to meet other participants and spend the day on site.
Race timing is provided by 4 Peaks Racing using triathlon timing chips. Chips must be worn on the left ankle from start to finish, returned at the finish line, and should not have the provided neoprene strap cut. Lost or unreturned chips will result in a charge to the athlete.
